Teach Soap

has anyone purchased fragrance oils from canwax for soap and body products.

i have tons of oils from them, and would like to know if they are ok to use in melt and pour soap.

Someone did tell me those oils are only for use in candles.

Does anyone else have any suggestions.

Their website has the oils listed as "body safe", "cp soap tested" and then the rest, which I assume are for candles.
Check and see where your oils are listed.
If that doesn't work - call them.

That being said - I have used a number of theirs over the years, and liked them all.

Me too i have used them for body and scrubs and stuff and really enjoyed them. I came across on their site marked in the body safe section one of their fragrances, then when I went to the general page the same fragrance came across and under it it said NOT BODY SAFE. then i contacted the company and they said they would fix it. its over two years and they never did. SO tat is y i am iffy about that company.

I USED to use them. Until one of the owners told me that NONE of their fragrances are actually body safe. I'd purchased a fragrance and saw that it had been moved from the "safe" category to the candles only one, and called for details.

I was quite rudely informed that I should have been smart enough to figure out that stuff from a store named CanWAX wouldn't be safe for soap or bath products So I stopped using them - for anything.

This same (or close) encounter happened to at least 2 other members of this forum.

If they're not safe for soap & body products, why do they have a "Body Safe" section? LOL

Honestly, I wouldn't use them because they have no helpful useage info on their fo's.

WOW is all I can say. Well, WOW and RUN, RUN away from this company. The lack of ethics is astounding and I would be spreading this news far and wide had they spoken to me that way! Thankfully I have never used their products, but how many others have? How sad! And the nice, polite way some were told that they were stupid is beyond ridiculous. Those types deserve to have the story repeated loudly and often!

I used their cherry FO, which said body safe. I called a few weeks later because my niece got a rash ALL over from a bath fizzy, and it had magically changed status to candles only. I was LIVID! As was my sister.

Now I stick to companies that folks here recommend, although 90% of my orders are with BB <3
