Teach Soap

OK so I am doing my first festival in Oct and more and more things keep popping into my head to sell.... ( I need to stop thinking!!!!! ) So I was thinking of doing some bath truffles. I have never heard of these till I starting making my own stuff and I do use the ones I make however I have never bought any. How much is to much? Right now if I offer 5 1oz. truffles in a baggie retail cost would be $7 is this to much? I have no idea what these things run for. I have looked around on Etsy but prices go anywhere from $3ish up to 6 for $20? There will be another soapmaker at this festival but from what I understand she will be selling just soap therefore I want to offer as many other skincare kind of options as well. I of course will be doing body butter, lip balm and liquid soaps and maybe some bath salts. What else seems to sell well at festivals? I was also going to offer some candles however I know that there is at least 1 other candle vendor. Should I just stick with the B&B stuff?????? I am so confused and don't know what to do? Im kinda freaking out.......

Candles have a pretty high learning curve. Unless you already know how to make them, I would pass.
To figure out your price, add up the raw costs and multiply that by 3.

Etsy has a lot of hobbyists that aren't really in business. Those sellers just want to recoup their own cost, so they can buy more supplies. I wold not compare their products to yours. Looking at the prices of your other products you're selling, I think you are undercutting yourself.

I might suggest you google bath truffles or bath melts. I found that LUSH offers them anywhere from $5.95 each to $9.95 each and one is enought for two baths (or three, depending on how you cut them).

I am selling my bath melts for $1.50 each or 3/$4.00. They are small flowers about 0.3 ounces each, and they are wrapped individually. My price might be low, but I'm hoping they'll buy other things too. My prices are as follows:

Bath Bar $5.25 each or 3/$14.00
Hand Bar $4.25 each or 3/$12.00
Bath Melts $1.50 each or 3/$4.00

Your prices might also need to reflect where you are located. How large are you making them? Don't forget that they melt, so plan to bring them in a cooler.

Mine are $2 each and they weigh slightly over 3 oz. which makes them a good size for a one-time use.
