Thank you for the responses ladies! I think I have this figured out though...I have a CP laundry soap that I mixed with Borax and washing soda. I took about 4 oz of this mixture, added it to about 12 oz of hot water and let it sit overnight, the next morning, it had appeared that the Borax and washing soda had dissolved in the water but not the soap, although it was very soft, so I took the stick blender to the mixture and blended for about 20 seconds then voila, it was dissolved! It was really interesting what I wound up with ~ it was kind of a foamy gel, liquid enough to squirt out of a squirt bottle but not too watery, and boy does it clean the dishes, and the counter top and the stove top!

So, I have my dish/cleaning soap as well as my laundry soap, problem solved!

When you use a 100% coconut soap to wash dishes what does this do to your hands? Do you have to wear gloves?
