Thank you. Now I just need to figure out the percentages to weight. Or is it measured in volume? Oh, I am so clueless. How could I go off and forget that dang book??!!

Yes Do it by weight

The basic recipe in the book that calls for the ingredients you have is as follows and its by weight not volume
18 oz Distilled Water
1.2 oz Shea Butter
1.7 oz Sweet Almond Oil
1 oz Avocado Oil
1.2 oz Emulsifying Wax
1 oz Stearic Acid
0.2 oz Preservative (Phenopnip or Germaben II)
0.1 oz Fragrance or Essintial Oil

This Makes four 6-oz bottles or six 4-oz bottles

Ya'll are wonderful. Thank you so much. Now I just have to make sure I have my temps right. That is why I got the Phenonip instead of Germaben (sp?) because I read that it can withstand higher temps. Do you think that if I have everything around 100 degrees that would be ok? Do I need everything cooler than that? I have been reading on the internet and around 100 seems to be the norm. I could be wrong though. Wouldn't be the first time. LOL!
