Teach Soap

I just found out that there is a candle making/soap supplies business within driving distance of me! I can even choose pick up as the ship method
So whenever I cannot wait for the 4-5 day ship from BB, I will still be able to 'feed the habit'.
I plan on trying out some of their base as a trial run to see how it holds up against the BB base.

Will post results once I have a chance to experiment.

Nothing close here at all. Reno/Tahoe airport did start nonstop flights to Bellingham though. Just saying!

It's probably a good thing there is nothing within driving distance from me. My pocket book would constantly be empty and my hubby constantly mad at me for spending it all!!! LOL Such an addictive hobby.....

I lived in Tacoma for 10 years. Wish I had begun soaping then since I was so close to Bramble Berry! Can't tell you how many times I have grumbled about that lately hehe

amberdougschin: LOL I was stationed at McChord AFB. Now that I live out in the middle of nowhere in Iowa, the drive to Bellingham doesn't seem that bad. My closest Walmart here is an hour away and the airport is 3 hours away! It's quite the drive to get anywhere now....

Ahhh - I figured it was a "distance is relative" kind of thing and that you might live in the middle of a cornfield.

Oh, did I just type THAT?? Sorry, that's what the folks from Iowa tell me....or was that Nebraska? I can't recall, but I know that somewhere in the US - people live near lots of corn...and little else.

I am spitting distance from McChord - I love to watch those C-17 cargo planes land!

I road trip up to Bellingham from Seattle to do classes at Otion. I don't think of it as all that far. I can get up and back on less than half a tank of gas and Pandora makes it a pleasant drive. With the bridge collapse, however, I haven't even considered it lately. It'll be awhile before I head north again.

It's especially worth it to me to be able to smell the BB fragrances at Otion before I buy them - and to be able to buy smaller test-sized bottles easily.
