Has anyone tried to color bath bombs by melting down color bars? Would it even work or would it ruin the color bar? Just curious since you put the shavings in melted MP and stir to melt the color...

I don't think the melted color blocks would mix uniformly with the powdered ingredients to make a consistent color throughout. I take the easy way out and use LaBomb colors from BB. I started with coral and teal then got the 12-color set eventually.

I've seen some really cool additions to bath bombs using cake/cookie sprinkles/decorations. I came across an old sea-themed cookie decoration kit from Williams Sonoma in a drawer that I'm going to try on the next set that I make. Take some sprinkles or color discs and put them into the mold before squishing it all together so they show on the outside. I'm sure you've seen some like that. That's my next bomb project.

I have LaBomb 12 kit on my wishlist. I was just curious about the blocks I am gonna give these ago soon. Thinkin of putting them in some fun molds for the kids. They are excited to try them out!

My kids love my bath bombs. It's soap and shampoo and actually getting clean that they have an issue with

I tried coloring them, but I actually prefer them uncolored. I add milk powders and finely ground oatmeal, epsom salts (sometimes colored, sometimes not), and mango butter in mine so the natural color is really very pretty. Sometimes I hide little toys inside like in Robert's photo but I put the little toy in the middle so the kids can't see it and don't know what they're gonna get until it finishes fizzing. I pull these out when I can't get them to get in the tub.

the Labomb kit is amazing it was soo worth it may fave thing to do is leave the bombs uncolored but in the center I drop the dye in so after if finishes fizzing the tub turns colorful kids LOVE it
