Teach Soap

I'm looking for the INCIs for the silver and iridescent glitter that Brambleberry carries. Anyone have it around? It's not up on their website and I need to get some soap labelled. Thanks!

I have several different kinds of micas and one glitter, they all are just labeled with the name on the site, "Fine iridescent glitter", "Gold light mica", "Merlot sparkle mica", etc.

I believe that cosmetic glitter is "Polybutylene Terephthalate", but you will need to verify with BB. I do not use glitters, so I am not sure if there is more than one type. But I had this in some notes and if I recall correctly, they are all this name, no matter if they are iridescent or different colors.
ETA; this name is for a glitter powder, again, not sure if that makes a difference or not. So basically....I am no real help! Lol Sorry!

Thanks everyone. This is the first time I've used glitter in a product. I'm sure BB will get back to me with the info.

How often do you guys use glitter in your soaps or b&b products?

I don't use it at all.

Just to follow-up, BB said their glitters should use the INCI of "Cosmetic Glitter".

hmm......That is really funny because out of curiosity *since I didn't feel I really helped you) I looked up INCI name for cosmetic glitter and got the same name I gave you.....??

I have never used it myself, although I think some of the photographs of soaps that use it are pretty, I just like to stick to natural, non-glittery colorants. Personally, I don't want my skin to glow with glitter. If I remember well from my youth, that stuff is hard to get off! Lol

I agree that some of the soaps with glitter are really pretty, but I can't imagine having a bar of glitter soap in my shower regularly. Maybe if I were 18 again.
