I was at a fair on Sunday and got a great tip: in addition to raising the product with displays and boxes, raise THE TABLE! My friend is a jewelry maker and artist, and showed me the PVC pipes she cut, with an optional bolt through them. They fit over e legs of most tables, and raise it up so people don't have to bend to look at things. SO clever!

I am not posting a picture of my table this year. It was ok, but not as nice as I'd like. Since I only do two or three fairs a year, I haven't put effort toward those displays, but I definitely need to for the future.

We had been afraid that with wind it wouldn't be stable at outdoor markets but vendor friends had no problems. It really does help with the bending over and looks nice too.

We do this at work, then somewhere they got some tablecloths that stretch down around the legs which looks even nicer.

Just took a look at everyone's display, they are all wonderful! Great ideas for the Farmers Market I go to. Now I need to make some risers for my products. Thank you all for sharing. I will post a pic soon.

Well, in just a few weeks I will be at my very first endeavor -- San Gennaro Festival -- May 8-12. OF COURSE all my help has backed out due to unforseen circumstances, so pretty much it will be exhausting, but I WILL succeed -- asking for your thoughts of energy during that time !

Anyway, I am using part of Bramble Girl's ladder display as a dual purpose (hang my banner up and display a "Menu" sign) -- thanks for that great idea! Then I also plan to have a 5' table and my two displays -- but unfortunately I can't seem to edit it to be small enough to upload. Oh well.

I finished labeling all 6000 soaps. All I have left to finish is my signs, which I'm working on.

Thanks Linda! And I finished my signs a few minutes ago when I drilled holes in the tops so I would have hanging options! Bramble Girl's ladder idea has expanded --

Since the rung 2nd from the bottom was half splintered off, I cut the ladder down in size from 6' to 44". the paint can shelf stands at 33". The whole ladder is painted glossy black to go with my hot pink/white/black color theme. I drilled holes in the paint can shelf and my credit card sign will hang from that with my "menu" sign resting on the paint can shelf. The 3 rungs in the ladder will hold shelves which will hold bags and stuff during the festival (after I hang up the 8' banner using the ladder AS a ladder!).

I absolutely am amazed that I AM READY and the festival is still 3 1/2 weeks away. I am so ready that I am going to START getting ready for the one in September -- especially since there isn't as much time for soapmaking. I'm taking this week off of making soap (while I wait for supplies to be delivered).

Next week I'll start back in. Not impossible if I keep supplies at hand. I'll need to do 14 batches a week for 13 weeks. I'm not including the week of San Gennaro (May 8-12) or the week after (recouperation time!) and still allowing 6 weeks of cure time for the last batch.

I have a plan!

I have a lot of fun with my displays. Who knew that an Interior Design Major could come in so handy with soaps?
