Okay, here is the first batch I did, I did post a first pic under another topic but here are the two together. I'm thinking I either took the batch out of the refrigerator to early or its just something I couldn't control OR its just part of the curing process.........I need all my soapbuds to help me with this
below are the pics, the second one below shows what appears to be gelling, right before my eyes, and its "growing"........LOL and it really didn't take "off" until after I cut the loaf..........
here is the second picture and this started happening about an hour after I cut it.............(this 2nd shot was taken about 6hrs after cutting though ~ the spots were WAY smaller than this when I first cut the loaf)
I soaped at 130 degrees and then threw the batch in the refrigerator for 24hrs before removing. Did I cut it too soon? Did I take it out too soon? Was it just inevitable due to the EO's I used? I used Lavender 40/42 & Tea Tree EO, the total amount in the batter was 1.5oz.
The combo on the recipe was 45 OO, 23 CO, 22 PO, 10 Castor Oil. SF was done at 7% for 2# weight in oils. I do feel like I over blended to thick trace by the time I poured into the mold due to my own nervousness about making sure the EO's were all blended in.
That's all I can think of right now.
