Look how my Perfect Man soap turned out! I'm not sure why it discolored on top but some bars even have some discoloration down the sides. My first batch was perfect - no dicoloration at all. Note the evil of partial gel in the middle bar. Next batch I'm going to pop in the fridge!



It actually started discoloring within a couple of hours in the mold.



To make matters worse, air bubbles galore in this soap! It's scented with Honey Bunny. Maybe I shouldn't soap with a sinus infection? At least it's not lye heavy.

I really like the way your swirl look in the Perfect Man soap. I have that FO but haven't soaped with it yet.

Hi everyone. I've just joined Teach Soap and am fairly new to cold process soap making, but I am so addicted to it already...I'm also addicted to watching soap videos on youtube and surely I can't be the only one. Anyway, I've only made 3 cold process batches so far and the 3rd one is currently cooling as it was made just 6-7 hours ago. I really wanted to share what I've done so far and when I found this thread I hoped no one would mind if I put my first and second batch pics on here. I'd love opinions too if you'd care to comment. I've been getting advice from a lovely lady who runs her own online soap supplies store and she has been incredibly supportive and seems to think I'm doing pretty well. She urged me to keep things simple until I got the hang of it, so I did. For the first batch anyway, then I went a tad experimental but it turned out better than I expected so now I have hope for the 3rd batch that is still sitting in the mould.

It seems I'm limited to 3 pics per entry so here is my second batch. I'm rather pleased with it. I had the idea of doing a 3 colour layer batch with a spoon swirl after watching a very clever lady on youtube. Unfortunately my pink faded dramatically and it looks more like a skin tone. Oh well, I'll know not to use that particular brand/colour again. But I'm still happy with it. I also ph tested both soaps with the ph strips and they both came out somewhere between 7 and 9 so I guess I did ok...
