My hubby just finished making me a lovely loaf mold for soaps, and I'm super excited to use it! However, I'm not sure how much it will hold - it's bigger than all of the 5 lb loaf molds I've seen, but definitely not big enough to hold 10 lbs. It's 22 inches long, 4 inches wide, and 3 3/8 inches deep. Any idea how I can go about figuring out how much soap it'll hold?

The little math problem comes out to 118.976 -- but is that in ounces, pounds, kilograms, grams...? Is there a formula that one can easily use when it comes to *metric* measurements, for those of us that aren't comfortable soaping in Imperial measurements?

Ipstenit, I believe this comes out in ounces, since 118 ounces is about 7 lbs (118 divided by 16). I don't know how to convert the formula over to grams for metric measurements, sorry!

Because I am too lazy to do the math when converting between imperical and metric, I use . Just don't forget the dash in the middle or you end up at a completely different website! :lol:
