Is this a correct statement on sodium lactate?

1% will harden your soap a little.
3% will make your soap softer.

No, generally people use between 1-3%. 3% being for a softer soap. If you use too much sl, you will get a crumbly bar from too much stearic.

Depending on your recipe, I would go with 1%. A higher % makes my soap crumbly.

I am adding it to my soap so I can get it out of a silicone mold.

So they are not saying 3% makes your soap softer but use 3% if you have a softer soap. Duh..................my brain must be going soft because I just spent the last two hours watching soap videos on Youtub

It is easy to get mixed up when you have that 2000 video fog going on! Lol
