I know some people say they never get ash on their soap. Well ladies and gentlemen, if I don't gel I always get ash even when I cover it with saran. Tell me about the spritzing with alcohol thing. Is it just plain old rubbing alcohol from the drug store? Can I clean up soap once it appears?

Yes, it's rubbing alcohol. You can either spray it after you pour or spray it after you gel.
You can steam the tops of your soap and it will get rid of the ash.

Or you can hold it over a pan of boiling water or a tea kettle- use gloves & be careful because the soap will be slippery!
