Teach Soap

Well I came up with 10 different FO blends and started doing tests tonight. Tonight I soaped Thai Lemongrass (Lemongrass Sage, Yuzu, Dragons Blood ) and Forbidden Fruit ( Mango Sorbet, Yuzu, Midnight Pomagranate ). Cant wait to see how they hold up Some of the others I havent thought of names yet since I am terrible at that. If I get stuck I might do a contest later on.

They sound very interesting, and I really like your names! But what does a dragon's blood smell like? Lol, Well, no matter, hope they soap well and that you love them! Blending is such fun! Can't wait for pictures when you are done.

I did a vanilla patchouli soap . . . the patchouli ended up overwhelming the vanilla. So go lightly with it.

Im not really sure what actual dragons blood smells like but the FO I have is BB's which i have read DOES NOT smell like the real thing. I still think it smells good. I wouldnt use it on its own its a little to incense smelling for me but is working good as my " Base " notes. I took all 10 of my sniffies for people at work to smell and all 7 people who smelled agreed these 2 are keepers I am happy with all of them but one. I have some beach breezes FO that came in my liquid soap kit that makes me want to barf I would like a beachy scent but that FO alone is NOT it!!!! Can anyone suggest anything to make it smell a little better? Right now I have it as 2 parts Papaya Coconut, 3 parts Beach Breezes, and 5 parts Pikake ( All from BB ) only downside to soaping this is the Papaya Coconut will prob most likely fade and the Pikake BB says soap on a stick which is a shame since I love it

Tammy, to me Dragon's Blood FO smells kinds of like Tabu perfume.

Ahutchins, I used Pikake flower and did a 3 color swirl with no problem. I barely had any acceleration either, but I soaped cool with full water. Papaya Coconut (to me anyway) smelled almost "buttery" when soaped...not fruity or coconutty. HTH

Thank you Irena and Linda for the descriptions of Dragons Blood, That gives me a better idea what it smells like for sure!

I have yet to smell a coconut that I like in cured soap. To me, they always are faded beyond recognition or have that play dough smell.
