My layers separated! Why?

I made Strawberry Soap...and added Strawberry seeds to the bottom "red" layer. Then added a green layer on top. I followed the directions. I used alcohol...I didn't wait too long...used the same base...didn't stick it in the freezer.

The only thing I can think of is that maybe the seeds interfered with the layers adhering? I remelted it and tried again...same thing.

I was so disappointed...it turned out so cute!

Are you using melt and pour? What type of base are you using? When I first started making soap I was buying my base at craft stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby. My layers used to separate and I had all kinds of problems pouring, I thought it was so difficult to make anything pretty! Once I tried base from BB it was a whole new ball game! There is a huge difference in the quality.

I used BB's LCP clear base. I've layered with it before and didn't have this problem.

freezer will not allow layers to stick. of this I am pretty sure. as it was stated in the forum here somewhere.... single soaps are fine but layers no on the putting them in the freezer.

I didn't put them in the freezer. Maybe it was too cold in the house? It's been pretty cold here.

I've never had any separate from being put in the freezer. Plus our house is always cold (Wisconsin winter) and the layers don't separate from that.

Now why did yours separate? I have no idea.

I am having the same issue. Nothing is more frustrating! I have also poured between 125-135 and waited until each layer started to get a film on it before pouring next layer. I live in Florida and I make my soap in my garage. Last night it was in the 50's here and it was really cold overnight. None of my layers stuff together at all. Any advice you give her will also help me. Thank you!
