Made my first lotion, that is!
I used a recipe from Anne Watson's book, the "Shea Lotion", which contains shea butter and shea oil. Also silk proteins. Scented with a lovely peach FO from The Sage (which smells like peaches and cream to me).
I thought the heating part was going to kill me - it took nearly half an hour to get the phases to the same temp. (The "hold" part was easy by comparison!)
I made a small batch - 6 ounces, which fit into two cute little blue tottles that I got at Wal-Mart. I ended up with this lovely, thick, creamy stuff. I scraped some off the spatula to use, and I'm very pleased. I hate to wash up, as I'm going to wash what's on my hands off, and I shouldn't put the tops on the tottles for a while yet. And I need to get to bed.
I wanted to go wake up friends to tell them, but I figured you guys would be more appreciative.
(Not to mention less cranky!
