I'm making tube lip balms just for me and mine.
Problem is, the recipe I like makes a lot and I
just want to use a tiny bit at a time......like to fill
two tubes:
Can I go ahead and make a 12 tube recipe, and
save it, like a base in a jar, and remelt/scent it as needed?

I have a recipe calculated to make about two tubes.

It's 11.34 grams total - if you have the percentages of the recipe you like, you can calculate the amounts for your recipe using that total weight.

I sort of tried that, but I'm lazy and thought
it would be great if I could make a full recipe
but only use a portion and save the rest for another time.......
should be ok?

Oh, thank you!
I was acually thinking of buying a base
just so I could scoop out small amounts,
when I have all the ingredients to make my own......duh
