I prefer apple strudel to candy. I don't understand Aussie accents. It's like a different language to me.

I have the same problem understanding the people born here in east Tennessee! It's like a totally different language from the English I spoke growing up. :lol:

I'm still here! Husband and I caught a really nasty cold and have been spending a lot of time either asleep or curled on the couch! Getting better now though, so I should be around more often!!!

Agree on the accents, love to listen to Aussies talk! I can't say I've tried any of their "lollies".

I have a friend who lives in Australia, we met online on a board much like this one, but for nursing. Several of us decided after a few years that we should meet, and we did, while vacationing in Florida. My Aussie friend flew out and we had an amazing time! My favorite part of the vacation was introducing her to S'mores made over the BBQ grill. She had never had them before and thought they were just the best thing ever!
