At a recent market where there were probably half a dozen soapmakers, there was one "all-natural" soapmaker selling maybe five different kinds of soap just thrown into large buckets for seven dollars a bar, shouting the whole time about how they "only use premium oils," but of course their ingredients weren't anywhere to be found as their soaps were unlabeled and their signs just showed scents etc. I thought they were very aggressive and rude, seemed to be implying that all other soapers at the market were imposters, and that was tacky. Maybe that's why I wouldn't make a good seller.
So I looked em up online, and here are the oils they use:
"oils of Organic Sunflower, Olive, Coconut, Organic, Sustainable Palm, Shea Butter and Castor Oils."
Would you consider any of these premium oils? I hate to be a negative nancy, but it doesn't seem all that impressive to me, especially not compared to any other soapers' recipes. Maybe she meant she doesn't use anything like lard or crisco or vegetable oil, I have no idea.
Any opinions?
