Hello everyone!
I have been following your post for a year now. I was Finally brave enough to jump from Melt and Pour to Cold Press. I was very excited to have success with my first batch...and a couple other basic ones followed. I was so thrilled and definately hooked!
The other day I tried my hand at a large batch with my brand new 5 lb mold from BB (a Bday gift to myself

), added the lye water to the oils (which I mixed in some powdered goats milk). Poured it fine in the mold and stuck in the fridge. Hours later I checked and noticed a crack in the middle. My soap had overheated. I took it out and noticed that it was hard...so I let it rest for a couple of days and prayed that it will be ok.
I cut it today...excited...and what do you know, I had all this clear liquid come out of it. All I could do was stand there, speechless.
My poor husband tried to make me feel better by suggesting that maybe the liquid would be moisturizing for the skin.

. So I took out all the books I had to see if there was a way I could save the oils. Every single author said to discard it...I really hate to go all those oils go to waste. Is there a way to save it? The 9 oz of Shea butter is just making my head hurt
Thanks for your help! I so enjoy reading all your good advice and now share in this wonderful addicting craft
