Lemon Goat Milk Melt and Pour Soap

What You’ll Need:
Guest Goat Milk Tray Mold
28 oz. Goat Milk Melt & Pour Base
10 mL Lemon Essential Oil
1.5 tsp. Lemon Peel
Yellow Oxide Color Block
Optional: Clean Up Tool, Droppers, 99% Isopropyl Alcohol

ONE: Cut 2 oz. of Goat Milk Melt & Pour base in small, even pieces and melt in the microwave using 10 second bursts. Using short bursts stops the soap from burning. Mix in shavings of the Yellow Oxide Color Block until a you get a rich yellow color.

TWO: Spritz your mold with a thin layer of 99% isopropyl alcohol. Drop the yellow soap into the border detail and lettering with a dropper. Spraying your mold with alcohol before adding the soap helps it spread easily into the details. Spray the top with alcohol to pop any bubbles. Allow the soap to fully harden and cool.
TWOTIP: If any soap spreads out of the details, use a Clean Up Tool to remove it.

TIP_edited-1THREE: Cut 26 oz. of Goat Milk Melt and Pour Base and melt in the microwave in 30 second bursts. When the soap is melted, add 10 mL of Lemon Essential Oil. Use a spoon to fully incorporate.

FOUR: Mix 1.5 tsp. of the Lemon Peel Powder into 1 Tbs. 99% isopropyl alcohol to help avoid clumps. Add all of the dispersed powder to the soap and mix well.
THREEFIVE: When the soap is at 120-125°F, spray the yellow details with 99% alcohol. Don’t pour the soap if it’s hotter 125°F because it can melt the yellow details.

TEMPSIX: Pour the white soap slowly into the mold. Spray the top with 99% alcohol to pop any bubbles. Allow the soap to fully harden and cool.

FOURSEVEN: Once the soap is cool, remove it from the mold. Using a sharp knife, cut the soap into bars by following the scored lines. Enjoy!
