Teach Soap

I'm debating on whether or not to order the stick blender from BB. Is there any reason I can not use a regular hand held mixer, and that the stick blender is a better choice?

Stick blender has a higher shear. Regular mixer will introduce too many bubbles into your soap. Go with the stick blender.

I ordered the stick blender, along with a ton of other stuff, needless to say, I can see myself easily going broke for this I have about 180 odd other items on my wishlist, and that was being conservative

As for the stick lender, I got cheap, and ordered on off amazon, it died three batches of soap in... And they weren't even thick traced batches. I ordered a bramble blender, and LOVE it. Plus it's pink

I researched a lot of the stick blenders on amazon, and almost all the ones that had reviews by soapers, the reviews weren't great... So My husband had a wonderful point that a stick blender would keep mess to a minimum as well since a hand mixer tends to throw batter, and that could be dangerous with lye involved. Not to mention if I was cleaning and missed a spot.

I found my Toastmaster at the hardware store - under $20 too! I was !

I started with an inexpensive Hamilton Beach (with a plastic shaft) from Wal-mart that lasted 2 years. Now I'm using a Cuisinart.

My Hamilton beach sb only lasted a few months. I have an Oster now, but I want another one.

I bought one with a 400 watt motor thinking it would maybe be a bit too much, but since then, I've had some mixes to deal with that took it to the limit.

I bought the one that I really love at Amazon (Pink Cuisanart). Before that my hubby got me an inexpensive one at CVS. I looked around the holidays for deals but was not lucky
