I ran this through BB's lye calculator, I'm trying to produce a harder bar with a nice lather, that has good moisturizing properties for dry skin.

Almond oil is considered a soft oil. At 18%, that will make for a soft soap. If it was me, I would leave it out and recalculate the recipe without it.

do you think this would be better? The person I'm wanting to make this for ends up with spots so dry that they crack and get sore.

I don't go above 5% castor as that's a soft oil too. I would change it to 5% castor, 20% coconut and add the difference to your olive oil. You can go higher on the superfat like 8%. If you're not using a fragrance that accelerates trace, you can discount your water.

ok, so this would (in theory) be a hard bar with a high moisturizing property? I can't wait to try it out

I would use 14 oz. of liquid for your last recipe. Unless you have a scale that measures to the third decimal point on your scale, I would go with 6.6 ozs. of lye. I would gel this batch and give it a nice, long cure.

How long of a cure do you think? Can you tell this is new to me?

with 70% olive oil, at least a few months. You can use it before that, but it will be much nicer if you wait.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

For skin cracks, I would personally use a lotion bar with oils/butters/beeswax and leave it unscented.
