I soaped the Waterlily Orange tonight. The batter got a little lumpy, but I was able to smooth it out. It's a nice enough scent, but a little perfumey for me. We'll see how it smells once cured.

Let us know how the orange holds up?

I don't smell much orange; more like water lilly.

I just took a look at this batch and to smell it. It smells clean and little oceany. I don't smell any orange or florals.

It will be interesting to hear how this changes with curing. It sounds like a really nice scent.

Still haven't had a chance to CP this, but it stays clear in liquid soap! Always a good thing!

Very fresh, watery scent to me. Have made some bath salts with it & will see
what happens at tomorrows market :D

It still smells clean with no floral or citrusy notes. I bet this FO would be awesome with some seaweed. I wonder how much of a change this FO would be in MP soap.

I tried this fragrance last weekend by accident. I was attempting to make the Sunshine Soap from Soap Queen and grabbed the wrong bottle. I didn't realize it until I had poured it. It is an interesting combination with the yuzu. DH said, "Was that evergreen?" It is pretty floral, but it is not horrible.

I have to agree about the lumpiness. Two thoughts that came to me later: 1) was that seize? 2) why did I insist on using the vertical mold? I think if I had been more on my toes that I could have saved it by putting it in my horizontal mold. It will be ready to be unmolded tomorrow, so we shall see. I am concerned that there might be voids. I can rebatch the soap or just keep it for myself. Well, nothing more I can but wait. I am a little bummed. This soap was the first time I used my new BB vertical soap mold. Bummer!

(BTW, first time post...I've been lurking for months and this topic where I felt like I had anything to add.)

Welcome aquinine!
If it was a total seize, it would have ended up as cement

I just got some "Orange Chiffon Cake" from Peak, looking for something to go alongside their luscious "Lemon Pound Cake". Haven't soaped it yet, but oob it smells very buttery and yummy, like baked goods, but not very orange-y. Might add a few drops of 10x Orange oil when I soap it. Lemon Pound Cake was a very hot seller for me through the holidays and is still going strong.
