When adding something like sugar to liquid soap for a cleansing facial scrub do you need to add a preservative to it if its in squeeze bottles?

If there's any chance that water or moisture can get in there, I would.
Also, I don't know what kind of sugar you're using, but sugar would be really scratchy on my face.
