Made a batch of soap today. Stuck it in the oven to force gel. Went back to check on it and found this

I really dont want to lose this batch. Should I go ahead and dump it and HP it? I think all of the oil is the oil that I used to mix my oxide with. I had this happen to a batch yeaterday but tossed it since rebatching would of left a poo colored soap :shock:

It might have overheated. Try to HP it and see.

Hmmmmm...at what temp did you combine your oils and lye? How hot was your oven?

If you have enough time with your recipe, try adding the oxide to thinly traced soap. You stirred the soap for an hour before it traced??? Are you using a stick blender?

Here's something to try. Pour the top layer carefully over a spoon. Then you can wait til the soap thickens enough to texture the top.
