The poster doesn't have to answer that part of the question if s/he doesn't wish, of course. But I desperately want to know how to get a really great red, if I ever do branch out into colors.

Have a look at the different soap colours out there. I have about 5 variations in red's here and can obtain that deep colour by mixing a few of them together. As Heather is bound to not along too... there are THOUSANDS of colours out there you can make mixing the right ones.

I am looking at different soap colors out there. This is the first time red has appealed to me, so this is pretty much the red I want to achieve, and I was hoping that the original poster might feel okay sharing the name(s) of the colorant(s) s/he used. If s/he would rather not, that's okay too, but if you want something, there's nothing quite like asking for it.

That red is fabulous!!

What was the mold? If it was wood, what did you line it with? I have seen those types of spots using silicone and suspect it has something to do with boiling/super hot gel phase but haven't ever tried to test my random observations.

And, I agree with everyone else, wonderful swirl!
