So I've been making soap for a couple of years now but I only started selling at the beginning of this year. I've never made goat milk soap until today. Mostly because if I was going to I figured I would want to use fresh goat milk and had not found any until recently when I met a lady at one of my craft shows who sold it. I did a castile batch at 40% percent lye solution and it looks like it turned out well. It is currently hanging out in my freezer. I will take pictures tomorrow when I pull it out. I have always read that people say that the goat milk-lye solution smelled funny. It definitely does and to me it smells like perm solution!

I used mostly frozen goat milk in an ice water bath but I didnt have a lot of ice. I think I might have scorched the milk a little. The current color of the soap is like a rich buttery yellow. Is it still good if I scorched the milk a little? I am excited because I have never really liked castile soap but I have read that goat milk castile is really nice. The only thing that sucks is I have to wait 6 months!

Just wanted to know what everyone's thoughts are. Thanks!
