This is 100% olive oil I made 5 months ago. I pulled it out today and it is no longer pretty and white. Orange spots? Or normal discoloration?

It's possibly going rancid. How is the smell? Any change?

I just tossed them. They were super ugly. Why would they go rancid?

Edited: any idea how old the olive oil was? What was your superfat? Hmmmm.

They could have gone rancid if the oils were old, if the oils were adulterated or it could have been a condition of where they were stored. If they weren't getting enough air circulation that can sometimes lead to dos.
