Teach Soap

I christened this mold today. To be honest, I saw how thin the liner was and thought it would bow out. The liner fit into the mold really easy and fit well. I poured the soap in earlier today and just unmolded. There is a wooden slide on the bottom that you pull out. You can see part of it on the bottom on the right hand side. I then put the mold sideways and the soap with the liner came out easy. It was also easy to peel the liner off. Here is what the mold looks like, with the liner out and a soap log in front of it. The soap is nice and smooth.

I've bee hesitant to get one of the molds with a silicone liner because I've read that the silicone doesn't allow the soap to breathe as much and I plan to work mainly with goats milk (if I don't end up being an epic fail at it, of course.)
Your soap came out lovely though, what type of soap is it?

I've also used silicone lots of times for my GM soap.
Irena, thank you for the mold review! I've been looking at that one but wasn't sure how well it would work. Now I know!

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Its a nice mold, isn't it? I find that a little piece of double stick tape holds the liner against the mold so it doesn't flap inwards in the middle. I'm personally not a fan of the slide bottom, but its all you have to choose from now (booo!).
