 Post subject: goats milk soap color

Hey everyone, can you tell me if goats milk powder to the batter makes for a darker finished bar? Also, should I be trying to avoid gel with milk soaps? Thanks

I get cream or light tan color bars with GM. Sometimes they gel and I can't avoid it; sometimes they don't. I prefer non-gelled as they come out lighter.

Thanks soapbuddy, much appreciated...maybe I should try to fridge my GM batches to avoid gel....next batch might have a honey experiment too so fridge it is:)

I pop mine into the freezer to avoid gel. I have a batch on the bench at the moment that is a super nice creamy colour.
