I am wanting to try to make a batch of soap using crisco. Is there a certain % you should use? I use palm oil now and am aware that the "new" crisco has palm oil in it. Would I just sub out my palm oil with the crisco? I usually use anywhere from 20-30% Palm in my recipies.

New Crisco is a mix of palm and soy. As soy can contribute to DOS (although in hydrogenated form, probably less so), I'd use it at no more than 20-25% of my recipe if I were making it. I find a little bit of soy in soap to be a nice addition.
