Hi everyone,

It's been really hard to get hold of commercially made goat's milk at the moment where I live. All the stocks are sold out of the only company who does make GM in NZ, and when I asked the supermarkets customer service when more would be in stock they had no idea. I then went hunting for GM powder and all the stocks are sold out for that too.

So not willing to wait around until they eventually came back into stock I finally found someone who sells dairy goats and cheekily asked them if I could buy some GM off them to make soap. And they said yes!

So relieved, but the question I need to ask you guys is, should I pasteurize the GM before I freeze it all away? Going to pick up 5L tomorrow.

When I use GM, it's raw. I believe that if there's any bacteria in it, the lye would kill it.

Great, it means I can cut out an extra step. Just gotta freeze 5L of milk tomorrow :shock:
