hi everyone - long time no speak!

i want to make a very strong brown swirl using either or both of the above - can anyone please tell me the MAXIMUM amounts per kilo of cp soap i can use without causing skin irritation? I want the scent to be strong as i don't intend using any essential or fragrance oils if possible. the last one i made had a nice colour but the scent is a bit dissapointing.

thanks in advance. :D

I don't know the max, but you can't use enough to get teal scent, as far as I can tell. And that much ground spice would be pretty scratchy.

One of my most popular soaps uses it, but withou a bit f EO, you wouldn't smell the spices.

I'm with mellifera on this one. But, if you want that nice brown swirl, you could always use a little cocoa mixed in with cinnamon & clove. It's not scratchy & not a known skin sensitizer. If you don't want to use cinnamon/clove eo or fo, you could always sprinkle the ground cinnamon & clove on top. Or cure the soaps in a container with some cinnamon & clove. It won't add as much scent as adding an fo or eo though.

I would go with cocoa powder as well. Ground cinnamon and cloves will scratch and you won't get much of a scent. The spices could also be irritating.
