I am trying to make a foot creme. Anne maries recipe but I can not find my stearic acid. Can I use more BTMS50 instead? I am running out of time to get my stuff finished and do not have enought time to order more and be done. thanks!!!

BTMS50 is more similar to Polawax (e-wax) then stearic acid. If it's just a small amount, I would leave it out or add a small % of cetyl alcohol. Have you made any cream before? When it comes to emulsifiers, you can't always sub one ingredient for another. I find adding beeswax to lotion or cream makes it feel draggy.

0.7 oz White Beeswax

3.1 oz Coffee Butter

2.4 oz Sunflower Oil

1.2 oz Stearic Acid

1 oz Emulsifying Wax

15.6 oz Distilled Water

5 mL Dark Rich Chocolate Fragrance Oil

5 mL Peppermint 2nd Distillation Essential Oil

0.2 oz Optiphen

Yes it is. I have made lotions many times. I'm thinking that is where my stearic went and i thought i had more. Thanks
