 Post subject: Lip Balm -more wax?

Ok...I have been playing around with making lip balms. The last sample I made my friendly tester told me it was too "waxy" so I tweek my recipe and I think now I may not have enough? :(

What is the standard use of beeswax in lip balms. This is my current recipe:

Avocado Oil 3.4 grams
Mango Butter 4.4 grams
Beeswax 2.7 grams
Coconut Oil 2 grams
Castor 2 grams
Meadowfoam Oil 2 grams

If my calculations are correct, you have 16.5 grams. Why such an odd number? My lip balm has a higher beeswax content then yours and no one has ever said that it was waxy. You could try candelila or carnauba wax.
