Hi there!!!

Maybe, someone knows, but I'm the administrator of a french soap making forum, and It's the first birth day of my forum. That's why I wanted to organise something big to celebrate this first birth day. Here is my forum, , if you want to say "hello"!

So I'm proposing you an international swap through the atlantic ocean!

The aim is to test soap reciep from other people. The rules are very simple :

- Each person send a soap to tow other person. So you have to send 2 soap. French people send to american and american people send to french, so as every one test a soap from the other side of the atlantic.
- You can take a soap from your curing rack, you don't have to make it specially for the swap. That's why there isn't any making constraint.
- your soap must be made with sodium hydroxide, melt and pour soaps are forbidden. however, you can do it in cold or hot process, your choice.
- they have to weigh between 90 and 100g (between 0,20 and 0,22 pounds I think), including packaging, to limit postal charges. You can send 2 small soap if they have the right weight. You can send one small thing more, but your parcel have to weigh 100g (0,22 pounds) max.

Registrations are opened since wednesday the 24th of october until sunday the 28th of october, included (I will take into account of the jet lag).
The soaps have to be sent before the 11th of november.

To register, you just have to answer this post, and give me an available email adress by PM, so as your swap mate can contact you.

About language problems, you can contact me by PM, I will translate your message. If any other person speaks both english and french, please say it to help me in translating.

Got one of my soap swap soaps today. Smells really good. Looking forward to using it and getting the other. I hope mine arrive there soon. I mailed them last week.

I learn so much when I can't leave well enough alone!

I got a French package today!! I came home from work, and my honey took me out to eat, and over dinner he told me that I got a package in from France today and the contents were written in as "Soaps and Sweets". And you are just telling me now?!?! Hahaha!

This package was from the lovely Virg80, who uses real milk from her real horses in her soaps! How exciting is that, I get to use horse milk soap!!! I also spied hazelnut oil in some ingredients, which I've never tried, so I am excited about that too! All of the soaps smell glorious ("After Eight" is my fave!) and were packaged so cute (I admit I am partial to hearts!).



Coffee soap, After Eight with the gorgeous funnel pour, Soft Milky with the beautiful blue swirls and stamp, and an adorable little teddy bear scented in Orange Cinnamon.



AND CANDYYYYYYYYY!! These little gems have the texture of a peanut butter log (to me) but are actually really sweet peppermint! Who knew! (Certainly not me, cuz I can't read a word of French!)




I feel so totally spoiled, thank you soooo much Virg80!!! ........And now I must admit that I haven't even mailed my swaps yet, I am such a terrible procrastinator! (My honey called me a "lazy American," he even said it with a French accent!) So he promised to stay up with me tonight to get everything packaged for Virg and trikoala, and my TS xmas swap partner too! Hope you all don't mind a Christmas theme!

I don't think I've ever heard of using horse milk in soap...how interesting!
