Does mango butter get grainy? The last lotion bars I made with my regular recipe, but subbed mango butter for shea. Now the bars are grainy feeling. I've never used mango butter before and don't know if this is normal or not. Thanks!

It can. It's been a hit or a miss for me. My last batch of mango is grainy.

Thanks, Irena. I think I'll stick with shea for my upcoming sale. I know it's ok. I would hate for people to get grainy solid lotions.

The stuff I have from WSP has been good. But I don't shop there anymore. Where did you get your grainy stuff? I prefer my items grainy-free LOL

I love Mango butter. The first time I ordered it I got it from BB but the last several times I have gotten it from WSP and havent had a grainy problem yet.

The grainy feeling goes away as soon as you start smoothing it into your skin, so it's not a problem for me personally, but I don't want to sell a grainy product.

After checking, it seems like it's just the bars that are grainy, so maybe it did get too hot when I melted it. I'll have to play around with another batch and see what happens, because I really like the feel of the bars. Thanks!
