Hestey, you read my mind -- I'm just hoping it got out in time. I also hope everyone on the East side stays safe through Sandy. I guess with Halloween around the corner I can say, "No lye is making me batty!" Howl. . . howl . . .

Did you get your lye? Or do I need to fed-ex some to you?

That's so sweet of you! Actually, while I STILL did not get my Bulk Apothocary order and they outright lied about sending it out last week, I did get notification from UPS that it was shipped YESTERDAY to arrive Nov. 2. Meanwhile, Linda (aka Cetawin) reminded me that Ace Hardware carries lye. I had tried Home Depot and Lowe's, but forgot Ace Hardware completely (gee, could my mediocre brain be overtaxed right now?).

I bought SIX bottles. Those got me going (did a batch this morning) and the ones coming will keep me going. I won't ever be ordering lye again!

I use for my lye. Good prices and good to deal with. Have never had an issue and they ship quickly!!

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

Well, it was $4.49/bottle (16 oz.). But there was no shipping costs involved and I got it 20 minutes after deciding to go get it. I'll save shipping costs for other stuff.

The Argan oil I ordered is fantastic. I used it on my daughter's hair (was never planning to use it in soap)! Alot less expensive than buying conditioner with a touch of argan oil in it!

Yay! I'm glad Ace worked for you! Not soaping is frustrating. I've been too cheap to try argan oil but have heard many good things about it. Anyone soaped it? A local gift shop sells argan oil soap (expensive) but I wondered if it would be better to save for leave on products like lotion.

It was Sudsy Fun Linda,, however, I may have also read a post from you about Ace Hardware. It doesn't matter. I finally got it!

I am not out but after looking at Essential Depot that was posted I went ahead and ordered because they have 16 2lb bottles of lye for 33. dollars through friday of this week. All their FO and EO are half price. They other things on sale the rest of the week
