Teach Soap

I'm sure this has been discussed hundreds of times here, but can someone refresh my memory regarding the best way to utilize fresh tomatoes in soap? My friend has requested an Avocado-Tomato facial soap made with either almond milk or goat milk.
The avocado gets added into the oils at 1 Tablespoon PPO, right?
And I'm guessing that the tomato is counted as part of the liquid, right?
So my plan is to mix my lye with frozen milk (equal amounts of lye and milk, plus 1 oz. milk), add my mashed avocado amount to the oils, and maybe add the remainder of my liquid amount as tomato juice to the oils also.
Would this work, potentially? Anyone see something that would make this work better than the plan I have concocted????

You could purée your tomatoes and freeze them also and just add your lye to the frozen milk and tomatoes. So the total of both would be your water amount. Make sure your avocado has no chunks at all so it won't go rancid. Sounds like a nice bar!

Thanks, Kelly, for your ideas! I hadn't thought of freezing the tomato, but that might be a nice way to incorporate it. I wonder if the lye directly on it would change the color, though?
I have used the avocado one other time and liked it, so hoping this one is good also. Not the ingredients I would have chosen, but my friend had the idea and will pay for them, so why not

I have done it this way with carrot purée with no problems. Total water amount too. I got a nice light orange, dark yellow color. You're going to get color from the tomato and avocado combined so I'm not sure what color you were going for. The tomato will give you a deeper color depending on how much you use. just a thought. will the acidic nature of the tomatos counteract the lye? I know soaping101 did a session on why you could not use lemon juice for that reason. you may want to run a small test batch, and maybe consider liqiud soap if it wont firm up.

You can use tomato no problem! doing a tutorial on it. With the avocado you should slightly reduce your superfat. I drop mine from 8 to 6 for my avocado soaps.

I did a tomato soap this summer. Did not freeze the tomato. I did lower my superfat to 4% because I was afraid that the tomato acid would work with the lye. At that level no problem, so next summer I will up it to 5%. The tomato seeds either need to be removed or as I did put the tomato thru the vitamix. I do not have my notes with me at the moment but I think I put aloe vera juice in this bar. I like the way it turned out.
