Teach Soap

Here's my impressions and I do a ton of shopping on etsy:

-Your pictures are slightly blurry, may want to work on sharpening them up
-Some of your listings don't list weights. Some do. Consistency is a great thing in an etsy store.
-Embellish yourself a bit, put more info on your storefront page, and also list your flat rate shipping there.
-Think about adding seasonal soaps and maybe gift sets, this is the time of year people are looking for holiday themed items.
-Wow, I'm sorry but I would run away from a store that charged $9 for shipping of one 5oz. soap. You should really re investigate your shipping charges. If its your shipping materials cost you put in there, perhaps do some more research on a better supplier. Your flat rate shipping is the highest I've ever seen and discourages smaller purchases and greatly encourages larger purchases. The problem is that you don't have many items that compliment each other making for larger purchases.

Also, if your shipping is flat rate, then change your listing to say "Shipping $9 ($0.00 with another item)" Then people don't have to look at your store policies, which I never look at, to see its flat rate.

Your soaps are cute! I didn't want to sound too harsh, but these were my reactions. I look at etsy sites all day and I'm falling back on what I've seen them do. Look at usernames dugshop, spartasoaps, Wiggleperfume, Haunt for ones with a great look and great policies.

I thought I posted on this, but I don't see my post anywhere

One of the ways to improve the pictures is to turn on the flash. That helps in creating a sharper image. If you don't like flash (I know I don't), try placing the camera on a stable, flat surface while shooting your soaps. Before hitting the shutter button, hold your breath so that you won't shake the camera.

Having more light will help with the pics. You could get a light tent and two desk lamps with 100 watt bulbs each. Place the lights on each side of the light tent.

Hm, your pictures are pretty blurry. If you camera doesn't have a macro setting, take the picture from further away so that it's in focus and then crop the image.
