Teach Soap

Where do folks get their emblems from? I've been using a free flower gif from the internet, but want one more personalized. Just not sure where/how to go about it!

Logo! That's the word I was looking for! My current logo is just some clip art. I want my own personal logo but I don't know how to make one. I'm a computer whiz, but not when it comes to stuff like this

Logo Design Studio Pro was $30 at an office supply store (don't remember which chain) and definitely worth it. I'm not good at these things and I didn't want to spend days learning how to do simple things with new software. You can come up with logos, labels, banners, etc. It does have it's limitations, but for the money, it works great. Good luck!

What audience are you trying to reach? Did you want the logo reustic? Upscale? Full color? B&W? Will you be using it on all your products? Once you have a logo made, make a copy in a small size and see how it looks for things like small jars or lip balms.

My logo is just a small picture at the bottom or middle of my label. You've seen my labels Irena! I want to replace the blue flower with something more personalized but similarly simple. I like my labels crisp and clean with simply company name, item name, and small simple logo. I'd stick with the flower gif I use now, but I'd want to pay the creator, which I cannot find.

I have a goat for my logo... he's a cheeky goat. I paid someone to draw up the goat for me, then I manipulated it into my labels and such in Photoshop myself.

I got the goat because nearly everything i make is done with goat's milk. And the look on his face is because I'm silly/cheeky myself and I wanted something to reflect that.

I agree that Logo Design Studio Pro is a really great program. I've made several logos for friends and family using it and they've loved them. It's cheap and really easy to use. I got mine at the Office Max in town.

So I have a question about the Logo Design Pro. I have a picture of a cat that I want to be part of the logo along with my company name that I choose. Can the program eliminate the background leaveing just the cat and then insert my name and maybe a soap name?

yourillusion97 it is somewhat limited in what it can do. What you want sounds more like what you'd need photoshop for and this is by no means equivalent to photoshop. You can insert images of your own...just can't really edit them in the program. The picture needs to be ready to use.

Can you PM me the cat picture? Maybe I can work with it a bit for you. I am by no means a graphic designer but here are 3 logos I've made using this program. I don't think they totally stink. Also give me an idea of what you are looking for.



Really need to work on how to resize...UGH!!

Vistaprint also has a free logo designer, it's basic but kind of fun to play with to get inspiration
