So pleased with the silicone mold (and soap) I made - from an old Christmas ornament found at a yard sale. Detail is fabulous and I'm finally getting better at making complicated two-piece molds. I love the flower pattern on the back of Santa's coat. Actually, wish I had that coat (but fake fur, of course). Always on the look-out for things to make molds from. Christmas ornaments are often the perfect size. This finished soap is a little over 6 ounces. He's almost as fat as he is tall.



Too much overhead light, so these are washing out :/ Since I get almost no "usable" daylight in my apartment, all photos are taken at night in a tent. And, since the tent sits on my stove-top, it gets set up and put away every day, so the set-up is never consistent

Connie: I LOVE the red white and green swirl loaf! Mine never turn out so well! And that Santa is AMAZING!!!! I'm so jealous of your ability to make such wonderful molds!!! And once the workshop is done you can come play in it!

Melissa: That stacked soap is super cute! I never think to make soaps 3D like that, mine are always just molded and generally flat.

Dragoness_1: Those lizards and frogs are wonderful! I like the contrast between the two colours. It's great that your son helped you make them!

My first batch of soaps.. I was a dummy and forgot the alcohol to spritz the bubbles away. But I am happy with my first batch of faux swirls. the cherry scent from NG is divine.....



I used FD&C Red and Blue. Red first then blue.
