- Posting the trials and tribulations of my Soaping Journey!

Well, here's my latest test batches! I try to do a different, "new to me" technique with each batch - they all have their imperfections, but I'm overall happy with them! And boy, oh boy, I LOVE the way they feel on my skin - don't think I'll go back to using store bought soap or MP base ever again!





My "Shades of Grey" ombre/gradient layer with "Cool Water Type" - Need to smack the mold a bit between layers to get more even lines & I pulled the blade while cutting which gave it that rough look at bottom. Definitely smells like "guy" lol




Patchouli & Sandalwood - decided I HATE Patchouli straight out of the jar, but mixed with sandalwood and after it calmed down for a week, it's a really nice earthy scent! Just tried to pour a whole mess of bright hippie colors in there.




Coconut Lime Verbena - spoon swirl. Had some color morphing issues, but I love this smell the best! Spilled some of the FO on my shirt and I was addicted to it all day.




Pink Sugar/Cotton Candy - sprinkled some actual pink sugar crystals on top. (Used TD, electric bubble gum, and ultramarine pink I believe - tho that layer looks a weird color)




Black Raspberry Vanilla - hanger swirl! Too much TD made it a little chunky/powdery and too little purple made it turn grey - but I'm really happy how the swirl came out!

AsilO, welcome back to the fold of soap making! I love the color of your soap, excellent job.

Nadalotta, great story. My dog, who will eat most anything, hides when I start soapmaking. I am most grateful for that. Nice looking soap. I have yet to try HP soap, just got my crockpot for soaping, but have been toooooo busy. I am glad you gave it a try.
