I am just curious is a preservative needed for this creation.

I want to make a natural hand soap for myself, and was wondering if I need to add a preservative, due to the water content.

distilled water
liquid castile soap
glycerin

Personally, since you're adding water and glycerin, I'd add a preservative just to be safe.

agreed, Genny. I would also add 0.2% EDTA as a stabilizer and softener.
