It was Avocado oil! Yeah, I remembered. I believe I have also used Sweet Almond oil and Jojoba in some. Some oils and butters are just greasier than others. Play with it until you find what you like.

Thank you all for your advice

I remelted, added more beeswax and a tablespoon of cornstarch (that did help quite a bit). I like the bars a lot better. I think the next time I make lotion bars, I might substitute the cocoa butter and see if that helps, too.

I have to admit I am hooked on making lotion bars! I make them in different shapes and sizes and have been giving them away in mini Ziploc bags to have people test for me. However now that I want to sell them I am not sure how to package them. I thought about shrink wrapping them, forever I didn't want them to melt. I did buy some tubes from BB, however I wanted to stand out and make different shapes.

I really like having the lotion bar in the push up or twist up tube. It makes the application so much less messy! My testers also liked it better than having a small bar to hold (and melt) in their hands.

I agree with Linda. The push up tubes are soooo much better for having on hand either at home or in your purse. I tried making little rounds or hearts and putting them into small jars with lids but this is not as easy to use. Placing them in Zip lock baggies can really make a mess of that bar. So if you are looking to individualize try doing something to the outside of the tube to make it your own.

Search for tubes online, I saw some that were different shapes SOMEWHERE when I was looking for lotion tubes. I've no idea where though.

I saw some heart and flower shaped push up lotion bar type tubes. Just forget where. She wants different shapes but ease of packaging, these are what came to mind. :mrgreen:

Hi again... I make fleur de lis, hearts, stars, fish.... pretty much anything that catches my eye as far as a mold goes. I am loving candy molds a lot these days.
