I'm lucky enough to have an extra bedroom that I use to cure my soap. I keep the door closed to keep my kitties out. I have a large inexpensive plastic shelf unit and I line the shelves with brown kraft paper (absorbs oils or glycerin that might seep out) so I just write the soap name and batch date right on the paper for easy reference. I've seen pictures where soapers cover their curing rack with a bed sheet to protect the soap from dust, etc.

Great job, Coolah! It's going to make your soaping so much nicer for you. I'm so disorganized and messy now I think it would take me a week just to clean up and organize!

Coolah: your storage is absolutely amazing, great job!! My jaw literally dropped when I saw all of your FO/EOs...what a sight to see!! I definitely need to figure out some type of storage solution.

I have the perfect solution for everyone!

Send me all of your colourants, fragrances, and awesome molds. Then you won't have to try and find places for them.

It's fun, and helpful, to read everyone's responses regarding storage. I am blessed to have an upstairs to my barn (a full second story, not a loft) and I have soooo wanted to use it as an art studio for wool and fiberworks (from our sheep business) as well as soaping. But the temperature varies so much from really hot in the summer to really cold in the winter. Looking into insulating it, but we'll see. In the meantime, all my soaping stuff is in a couple of rubbermaid bins (I'm just getting started so I don't have all the fun stuff some of you soaping veterans do!). Anyway, fun to read all of your responses
