When making your own sunscreen how do you know what the SPF of the final product is going to be?

Or even if you make lotions with avocado, cocoa, or shea butters can you make the claim of some SPF? If so how much?

Yikes. I see a lot of things out there that make me :shock: , and that would be one of them.

Maybe - giving as much credit as possible, here - they found a reliable supplier for sunscreen base and rebottled it? Otherwise, they'd have to be just taking their best guess.

You can't claim SPF and you can't claim moisturizing or anything without being tested as an OTC drug/Cosmetic - period.
