Teach Soap

Thank you everyone for all of the replies! In my previous post; (Still looking....) I guess could've been a little bit more thorough with my description! I am looking for something that will make a suntan smell to make my own beach perfume, the word sand probably wasn't a good one!. There are companies that use a suntan note, but I would like to make it my own or at least add to it, not use a "type" or copycat fragrance oil.I know there are scents from companies that "mimic" that suntan smell, but I would like to add my own elements on top of the suntan smell, to make it an original scent of mine.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I'm so jealous, Linda! I want to go to this showroom!! I can't imagine being able to see, touch, and sniff all the awesome soapmaking products I drool over online actually in person. What's that like? Haha.

Thank you everyone, I was Googling what fruits are considered tropical besides the usual coconut, papaya, guava, etc. and trying to think of what other components I could use, I might have to reach into the creativity pile of my mind to try and create something!

I have BB's Coconut Lip Flavour for my lip balms... instand reminder of that brown bottle of "want to bake on the beach like a lobster" oil that was used by my mum to tan.

Hi Sonya. I don't know if you're still looking for creating your own unique beach-like scented soap, but if you're looking for a "salty" smell/component, try adding some kelp or seaweed. I bought a shampoo bar that had seaweed in it and the smell of the seaweed definitely smelled salty like the ocean. I really liked the EO blend that was added to the soap but I found the seaweed smell kind of overpowering (for me). When I asked my brothers to smell it though they said it (seaweed) was faint but did remind them of the ocean/beach.
