PJ is a "true melt and pour artist". She uses a special tool kit to paint M&P in the molds. PJ also has taught @ Soap Intensive. If you look her up in Soap Queen she explains some of the technique to paint a mold. On this thread I think she also explains how she mixes her M&P paints.

Thanks for the info Raindrop. I started searching the Soap Queen blog and haven't seen the tutorial yet, but I'll keep looking.

Soapiopath, I don't know how to attached the info but if you search crescent moon it will bring up a tutorial. On this thread she also explains how she dries her soaps.

Oh ok; that's what you meant. I did see the crescent moon tutorial when I searched, I was just looking for a Starry Night (Van Gogh) tutorial. I didn't realize the crescent moon tutorial was the one you were referring to. I'll check it out, thanks.

Simple cameos. Unfortunately, shrink wrapping melts the edges occasionally. But it's just soap, so I'm pleased with them.

Just thought I'd share my super simple brain soaps:





While I was on a women's retreat for church my hubby took the girls to the local science museum. While there they found a brain mold for me in the gift shop. When I got home and I got my new gift I said, "Ok, but who's going to want brain soaps?" Within 24 hours I had a special order for brain soaps, and a week later I had my first Etsy order, and whatddya know? Brain soaps - as a gift for a neurologist.

I call them Bag o' Brains, and so far they're the most popular item in my shop. My hubby is very smug about it!

Yes, I did come across her cameo soaps at some point. Although I will never be making multiple color cameos like that though! Not enough patience. Especially considering that mold often doesn't want to release the flowers at the bottom! I have just enough patience to deal with that alone, lol.

Thank you for the link, I'm checking it out. I just love Van Gogh and am inspired because I just saw the "Van Gogh Up Close" exhibit at the Philly museum of art in Feb. Perfect mold for me right now.

I just love the brain soaps. That's right up my alley.

Cute hedgehog mold too. Everyone around here is so creative. M&P is its own craft really.
